Speed of Light, Speed of Sound, Fabrica gallery, 2013, live AV performance, 8 channel video, 8 channel audio, bespoke software processing, 42mins
This piece was born out of a speculative desire to bend the properties of space and time. Light and sound signals were created and manipulated in ‘real-time’ using an array of time synchronised projectors and loudspeakers. Using a live improvised noise set as the source, the physical relation between the movement of sound and light was explored and fractured. The piece explored the human perception and how fracturing and noise can contribute to new states of experience.
